Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

DescriptionAs a Licensed Practical Nurse with the Brooks Physicians Practice you are working in an outpatient setting. The LPN performs nursing functions under the direction of a physician. They will be following the plans of care, participates in care planning, and performs nursing actions in accord with company policy and state law.Responsibilities:Documents observations and care given in accord with company process according to company policies and procedures.Administers basic nursing care to the rehab patient and assists in giving care to the acutely ill rehab patient relative to patient age, developmental needs, and understanding.Interviews patient about current problems, medications, and allergies and reviews medical record for pertinent previous and current information.Participates in patient treatment regimen, including administering medications (under the supervision of a physician and registered nurse).Performs variety of office responsibilities: answers phones and takes messages and performs triage within scope of licensed practical nursing practice in an accurate and timely manner.Takes and record vital signs: temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure.Maintains adequate inventory of exam room supplies and prepares exam rooms at the beginning and end of day and between each patient.Accepts referrals from physicians, case managers, attorneys, patients and other sources, completing referrals with all information.Prepares the chart on each patient by obtaining all necessary forms, information and prescriptions and keeping them up-to-date.Assists Physician in Urodynamics testing procedures.Assists Physician in botulinum toxin injections.Thriving in a culture that you can be proud of, you will also receive many employee benefits such as the following:Competitive PayComprehensive Benefits packageVacation/Paid Time OffRetirement PlanEmployee DiscountsClinical Education and Professional Development ProgramsQualificationsQualifications:Licensed as an LPN in the state of Florida1 year of experienceIV CertifiedCurrent hands on BLS certification #J-18808-Ljbffr
