Health System Specialist

DutiesAt the full performance (GS-13) level you will perform the following, but not limited to duties:Facilitate decision making, conflict resolution, strategic planning and dialogue within the assigned organizational unit.Coordinate budget planning and execution with local management and Military Treatment Facilities resource management.Establish and implements long and short-term policies and budget execution plans.Perform as authoritative expert in the interpretation of organizational unit productivity, access, cost, and quality data.Prepare planning for department strategic and business plans and monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of both.Direct the administration of multi-million dollars in health care provider contracts.Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates; sets and adjusts short-term priorities.Interview candidates for positions in the unit; recommends appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such positions.Evaluate work performance of subordinates; and gives advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.Maintain accountability for productivity, access, wellness, patient satisfaction, enrollment, empanelment, and other relevant health care delivery business plan targets.
