Job Description Position Overview: As an Airway Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team of dentists and specialists in diagnosing and treating airway-related conditions. Your responsibilities will include assisting with various procedures, managing patient care, and educating patients on the importance of airway health. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in airway dentistry, sleep apnea, and overall patient wellness. Key Responsibilities: Assist in Airway Assessments: Prepare patients for airway assessments, assist with diagnostic tools like sleep studies, and help monitor patient progress. Prepare Treatment Rooms: Ensure treatment rooms are sterilized and organized, setting up for various dental procedures related to airway health. Assist in Procedures: Assist the dentist in airway-related dental procedures, such as the fitting of oral appliances for sleep apnea and mandibular advancement devices. Patient Education: Educate patients on airway dentistry, oral appliance usage, and proper breathing techniques to enhance their overall treatment experience. Manage Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including airway-related diagnoses, treatments, and follow-ups. Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving airway function and overall patient health. Provide Comfort and Care: Ensure that patients are comfortable during treatments and that all questions and concerns are addressed with compassion.
