Job Summary:
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the overall operation, performance, and profitability of the restaurant. This individual leads all aspects of the business including financial performance, team development, guest satisfaction, food quality, and operational excellence. The General Manager sets the tone and culture of the restaurant and ensures all company standards and brand expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage: $58,298.00 - $83,283.00 + annual bonus
• Employment Type: Year Round 
• Shift Type: Full Time hours available
• Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

• Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain a high-performing team
• Create and maintain weekly staff schedules to meet business demands while controlling labor costs
• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and corrective action when necessary
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional work environment
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings and ongoing team communication
• Develop and mentor assistant managers and supervisors for career growth
• Ensure compliance with all employment laws and company HR policies
• Manage employee relations issues with professionalism and consistency

Financial Management

• Full P&L responsibility — drive revenue and manage costs to meet or exceed budget targets
• Monitor and control  food costs, beverage costs, and labor costs
• Prepare and manage the annual operating budget
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and KPIs
• Manage cash handling procedures, bank deposits, and safe funds
• Analyze sales trends and implement strategies to grow revenue
• Manage vendor relationships, purchasing, and inventory controls
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to ownership/corporate

Guest Experience

• Ensure every guest receives an exceptional dining experience
• Maintain a visible presence on the floor during peak service periods
• Handle guest complaints and feedback promptly and professionally
• Monitor and respond to  online reviews (Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc.)
• Implement and uphold service standards and hospitality best practices
• Drive guest loyalty and repeat business through consistent execution

Food & Beverage Quality

• Partner with the Executive Chef / Kitchen Manager to ensure food quality and consistency
• Ensure menu items are prepared and presented according to recipe standards
• Oversee beverage program (if applicable) including wine, cocktail, and bar operations
• Manage food safety and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant
• Conduct regular tastings and menu reviews

Operations & Compliance

• Ensure the restaurant operates in compliance with all  local, state, and federal regulations including:
• Health department and food safety (ServSafe or equivalent)
• Alcohol service and licensing (TIPS/responsible service)
• OSHA and workplace safety
• Labor laws (wage & hour, break compliance, etc.)
• Maintain the physical facility — cleanliness, maintenance, repairs, and equipment upkeep
• Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service contractors
• Oversee POS system management, technology, and reporting tools
• Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed daily
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Job Requirements:
Required:

• 3–5+ years of restaurant management experience , with at least 2 years as a General Manager (or equivalent senior leadership role)
• Proven track record of  P&L management and delivering financial results
• Strong knowledge of  food cost, labor cost, and operational KPIs
• Experience with  hiring, training, and developing teams
• ServSafe Food Handler/Manager certification (or ability to obtain)
• Alcohol service certification (TIPS, TAM, or equivalent)
• Proficiency with  POS systems (Toast, Aloha, Micros, etc.)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to work  flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field
• Experience with  inventory management and vendor negotiations
• Experience with  catering, banquets, or private events
• Familiarity with labor management and scheduling software
• Experience with  budgeting and forecasting tools
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

The expected pay range is $58,298.00 - $83,283.00 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
