The position involves a variety of clerical duties such as data entry, charge processing, and maintaining office organization to support efficient operations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWelcome and assist patients upon arrival, notifying appropriate personnel and managing expectations regarding wait times.Perform timely clerical tasks including typing, data entry, and charge documentation.Accurately complete required forms and maintain a professional office environment.Engage in continuous professional development and demonstrate respectful, age-appropriate communication skills with patients.Contribute actively to departmental quality improvement initiatives and uphold quality control standards.EducationA high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.ExperiencePrevious office experience is advantageous but not mandatory.RequirementsClose mental and visual attention for extended periods is necessary.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient needs.Physical capability to move throughout the department, including standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 15 pounds.Potential exposure to infectious agents, chemicals, and controlled radiation requires adherence to safety protocols.
