English (ESL) Language Teacher for children in Clarksville, TN

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an  English Language Teacher (ESL)  to provide in-person, customized lessons to children in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Format: small group class for an 8-year-old twin boy and girl. 
Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings
Preferred start date: Aug 1
Lessons Frequency: 4 x week; 1-hour lessons
Current language level: Complete beginner
Native and other spoken languages: Spanish

--Student’s language needs and goals [boy] : The student needs lessons with hands-on activities and a lot of movement. He needs to be able to explain their needs at school, ask for help, and also make friends.

--Student’s language needs and goals [girl]: The student needs to build her confidence communicating at school, including understanding teachers, asking for help, expressing emotions and concerns appropriately, making friends, and developing culturally appropriate boundary-setting skills.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners towards learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• To have a native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• To have a degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field. 
• To have a minimum of two years of experience teaching ESL
• Experience teaching children is a must.
