PRN Pharmacist
Carrollwood Pharmacy
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team on an as-needed basis. The pharmacist will step in flexibly to cover shifts, ensure seamless day-to-day operations, and oversee compounding of non-sterile medications based on unique patient and provider needs. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting prescriptions, checking for drug interactions, counseling patients on proper medication use, and collaborating with prescribers to optimize therapy. Key Responsibilities Oversee the compounding of non-sterile customized medications like suspensions, topical creams, capsules, and suppositories. Perform final verification on compounded formulas for exact dosage. Ensure proper labeling and quality control before dispensing medications. Review prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage accuracy, and drug interactions. Counsel patients on proper administration, storage, and side effects. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Licensure: Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License in Florida in good standing. Experience: Open to new graduates; compounding training is a plus. Hours: Shift coverage needed during standard hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM). #J-18808-Ljbffr
