About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years of RN Experience, 2 Years of Med/Surg Experience License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district Certifications: NIHSS, BLS & ACLS Required, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training) Required Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program, BSN Highly Desired Description: Fulfills the needs of patients, families, and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. Applies knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan necessary to provide age-appropriate care. Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patients' needs. Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients. Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Completes admission assessments within the established time frame according to policy and procedures.
