Growing together.The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for performing patient-oriented procedures under the direction and supervision of a clinician, RN, or LVN to ensure safe and appropriate patient care. The MA assists the clinician with minor medical and surgical procedures; performs a broad spectrum of clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of patient care assistance.This position is located at: 110 N Rubey Dr Golden COPrimary Responsibilities:Consistently exhibit behavior and communication skills that demonstrate the company's commitment to superior customer service, including quality care and concern with internal and external customersUse, protect, and disclose patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standardsAnticipate the clinician's needs and carries out ordersCheck for patients' arrival status and escorts patients from waiting area to exam rooms. Escorts patients to ancillary services as neededObtain, record, and report vital signs and other pertinent patient information to RN, LVN, or clinicianPerform various medical procedures and medication administration as appropriate for their certificationPerform phlebotomy, process lab specimens, and maintain lab specimen logs as appropriateAssist clinician with procedures as requestedEnsure proper documentation of all proceduresMaintain and clean exam and treatment areas, specimen processing areas, and medical equipmentComplete or assist with the completion of appropriate forms, tracking, transport, etc.You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School diploma or GEDCompletion of a Medical Assistant program, or relevant experienceBLS certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hirePreferred Qualifications:1+ years of experience in an ambulatory care setting as a Medical Assistant/EMTPediatric experienceElectronic medical records (EMR) experienceExperience in primary care, internal medicine or specialty care such as pediatrics, pain management, cardiology, urology, orthopedics, oncology, senior care, OBGYN, urgent careBilingual English and SpanishWilling to travel to various OptumCare CO clinic locations as neededPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment.
