ASSURANCE MANAGER

Denver, CO Job DescriptionASSURANCE MANAGER We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager / Assurance Manager to join one of Colorado’s top public accounting firms. This individual will manage audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and provide leadership and development to engagement teams. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSURANCE MANAGER / AUDIT MANAGER Manage audit, review, compilation, and other assurance engagements.Supervise, review, and provide guidance to senior and staff accountantsReview financial statements, audit workpapers, and other engagement documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with professional standards.Identify accounting, auditing, internal control, and financial reporting issues and develop appropriate recommendations.Research and apply GAAP, GAAS, and other applicable professional standards and regulations.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.Assist with complex accounting and technical research as needed.Promote a culture of quality, professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional client service.Job RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS OF THE ASSURANCE MANAGER / AUDIT MANAGER Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accountingCPA required5+ years of progressive public accounting experiencePrevious experience supervising or managing audit engagements and engagement teams.Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.Experience with financial statement audits and other assurance engagements.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and audit software is preferred.Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor accounting professionals.Strong client-service orientation and professional presence. Target annual salary range: $120,000 - $145,000 DOE. Discretionary bonus potential, generous PTO and lots of other great benefits!
