Lapping Machine Operator
We are seeking individuals who will be operating a Lapping Machine to remove material from gage blocks, measure gages during the manufacturing process, and accurately follow the required processes. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Lapping Machines to complete each step of the manufacturing plan
- Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping
- Verify the gage with precision and measuring tools
- Continually monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature, and identify issues
- Check parts to ensure machine-related mistakes or flaws do not exist
- Collaborate with your co-workers and supervisor to problem solve and meet deadlines
- Perform cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and the machines
- Meet the daily job assignment set by Production Supervisor, and consistently produce high-quality work
- Listen and follow through with instructions
- Take personal ownership to work safely in every aspect, following both established and common sense safety rules
- Follow Company Office Rules, policies, safe work practices and procedures that ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws
- Perform all other duties assigned
