Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Rotation | Holidays as Needed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients with diagnoses including acute/chronic respiratory illness, CHF/pulmonary edema, renal failure, active GI bleeding, post-operative conditions, diabetes, drug overdose, arrhythmia, and stable COVID
• Monitor and manage patients with CIWA scores, suicidal ideation, uncontrolled or new-onset seizures, and patients undergoing radioactive therapy
• Administer IV medication drips including Heparin and TNA per unit protocol
• Care for post-operative patients including general surgery, general GYN surgery, and total knee and hip replacements
• Float between facilities within the health system as needed
• Complete unit-based orientation modules as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry or Telemetry
• BLS certification required
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed; no study materials provided)
• EPIC electronic health records experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted; current driver's license required at submission to verify address)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
