Job Title: General Manager - Tradeshow
Location: Orlando, FL 32837
Salary: $100,000

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the operations of our Orlando location. As General Manager, you will lead a team of 30+ employees and manage all aspects of tradeshow contracting operations to deliver exceptional events. You will play a crucial role in achieving financial goals, maintaining client satisfaction, and fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management
  • Lead and manage a team of 30+ employees across operations, sales, and administrative functions.
  • Foster a positive and accountable team culture focused on collaboration and growth.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and performance management processes to maintain a high-performing workforce.
Operations Management
  • Ensure all projects and tradeshows are executed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Optimize workflows, processes, and resource allocation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, inventory control, and adherence to safety standards.
Client Relations and Sales
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients in the Orlando market, ensuring their satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify new opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Address client concerns promptly, maintaining a reputation for exceptional service.
Financial Oversight
  • Manage budgets and ensure profitability targets are met for the Orlando location.
  • Monitor financial performance through regular reporting and analysis.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high service standards.
Strategic Planning and Collaboration
  • Align local operations with the company's strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other General Managers to share best practices and drive innovation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand market presence in Orlando and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience, ideally in event production, tradeshow contracting, or a similar industry.
Skills and Abilities
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on operational excellence and client satisfaction.
Additional Requirements
  • Knowledge of the tradeshow or event production industry is highly preferred.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to meet with clients or attend company meetings.
