About the Role:

The Preschool Lead Teacher plays a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children during their critical early developmental years. This position is responsible for designing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. The Lead Teacher will guide and support a classroom of preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and engagement in learning activities. Collaboration with families and colleagues is essential to create a supportive community that encourages each child's unique potential. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Valid state certification or licensure for preschool teaching, as required by local regulations.
• Minimum of 5 years experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting.
• Minimum of 2 years in a lead teacher role.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Ability to pass background checks and meet health and safety requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience with curriculum development and classroom management.
• Familiarity with inclusive education practices and working with children with diverse learning needs.
• Professional development training in early childhood education methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive preschool curriculum aligned with developmental milestones and educational standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
• Observe and assess each child's progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with parents and guardians.
• Lead and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides to ensure consistent and high-quality care and instruction.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and administration to support children's individual needs and promote a cohesive learning community.
