Job Summary
Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and skilled nursing facility setting. This role involves performing initial assessments, medication administration, overseeing Certified Nursing Assistants, and providing patient and family communication. The position requires flexibility to rotate between different shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, to meet the facility's operational needs.

Job Details

• Schedule:
  • Day shift: 0600-1430
  • Evening shift: 1415-2245
  • Night shift: 2230-0700
  • Minimum hours per week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Education: Valid nursing license to submit application
  • Experience: 2 years minimum clinical experience in long-term care or similar setting
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with acute inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred but not required
• Additional Information:
  • Accepted candidates new to travel nursing
  • Clinical duties include skin assessments, pain evaluations, wound care, pressure ulcer prevention, and family communication
  • Uses MEDITECH electronic medical record system (will transition to new system in June 2024)
  • Mechanical lift system for patient transfers
  • May be asked to stay past shift hours per union overtime rules and rotate shifts as needed
  • May participate in holiday rotation and work every other weekend schedule
  • Scrub color: Any color
  • Orientation includes half-day general orientation, 1-2 days with educator, and 1-3 days with preceptor on designated shifts
  • No floating required
  • No call or standby duties
