Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurses (RNs) provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position involves performing comprehensive nursing assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role emphasizes patient safety, team coordination, and adherence to clinical standards within a structured, supportive setting.

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only); minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience; location: 10/12/2026; scheduled shift: days, 12 hours; minimum hours per week: 36 hours.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Clinical Duties: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission; develops and updates patient care plans; participates in patient education and discharge planning; communicates effectively to ensure continuity of care; supervises ancillary nursing personnel; maintains documentation accuracy; participates in team building and quality improvement activities.
• Operational Responsibilities: Ensures safety and environmental protocols are followed; manages supplies and equipment; contributes to cost-effective patient care; assumes charge responsibilities upon orientation completion; demonstrates ongoing professional development.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include promoting patient and employee safety, utilizing problem solving in decision-making, and providingcalm, competent direction to staff, patients, and families.
