Locums - Miami, Florida - Cardiac Anesthesiologist
Availability / Schedule- Assignment Length: 6 months with potential extension
- Reason for Coverage: Provider resignation
- Schedule: Monday-Friday with weekend rotation
- Shift Options: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
- Current Shift Lengths: 10- and 12-hour shifts
- Call: Required
- Weekend Coverage: Required
Availability Requirements
- Full-time availability strongly preferred
- Part-time candidates considered with a minimum of 8 shifts per month
- Full-time providers expected to work a minimum of 6 shifts per month , with opportunity for additional shifts
- Site preference is for consistent week-over-week coverage
- Operating Rooms: 12
- Average Monthly Case Volume: 850-950
- EMR: Medaxion
- Care Team Model: Utilized throughout the program
- Orientation: Provided prior to first shift

- Left atrial appendage ligation
- Electrophysiology procedures

Notable Practice Details
- Very limited aortic surgery
- No cardiac transplant cases
- Minimal thoracic surgery volume
- Majority of cases are Orthopedic, General Surgery, and OB/GYN
- Cardiac anesthesia coverage required as part of the practice
- Approximately 275 OB deliveries per month
- 60-70% personally performed cases
- 30-40% supervision/medical direction responsibilities
- Collaborative care team environment

- Cardiac Anesthesiologist comfortable with CABG, valve procedures, TAVR, MitraClip, LAA ligation, and EP cases
- Interested in a long-term assignment with the potential for extension
- Able to participate in call and weekend rotations
- Available for consistent recurring coverage, with full-time candidates preferred for consideration
