Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a rewarding community-based role.

Position Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with disabilities in adult day programs. This role focuses on promoting independence, safety, skill development, and community participation.

Schedules

Work Locations Available: Queens & Bronx
• Full-Time: Monday–Friday (35 hours per week)
• Part-Time: Monday–Friday (30 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in leading self-directed and meaningful lives.

• Monitor health, safety, and overall well-being.

• Promote skill development, interests, and hobbies.

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).

• Build positive relationships with participants, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.

• Knowledge of Home and Community-Based Waiver services is a plus.

• Understanding of Person-Centered Planning.

• Flexible schedule.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with participants, families, and community agencies.
