Vice President, Controller About the Company Expanding specialty finance platform Industry Financial Services Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a VP/Controller to play a pivotal role in the financial architecture of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all financial reporting, forecasting, and controls, with a strong emphasis on SOX compliance, audit-ready accounting, and US GAAP guidance, particularly in the area of fair value loan and debt accounting. This leadership position also involves overseeing the full accounting function, driving automation initiatives, and owning the financial systems roadmap. The VP/Controller will be a key player in both SEC and internal management reporting, annual budgeting, and will contribute to the development of investor materials. The role demands a strategic thinker who can work closely with the Executive Team and is adept at scaling infrastructure, developing talent, and operating in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate for the VP/Controller role at the company is a CPA with a minimum of 8 years' of accounting leadership experience in financial services, possessing strong SEC and SOX credentials. A background in lending, real estate, or mortgage finance is highly preferred.
