Customer Quality EngineerLocation: Oak Creek, WI – on-site - relocation assistance availableSalary: $90-120k plus bonus and extensive benefits packageThe information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications.About the OpportunityJoin a leading manufacturer of high-performance paints and coatings for the automotive industryThis is a customer-facing quality role responsible for resolving quality issues, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions, and acting as the key liaison between customers and internal manufacturing teams.Key RequirementsAutomotive and coatings experience• Working knowledge of IATF 16949• Experience managing customer quality issues and complaints• Strong knowledge of 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone and root cause analysis• Experience with corrective and preventive actions• Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, LPA and customer-specific requirements• Experience supporting customer and third-party audits• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills• Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authorityRole & Responsibilities• Lead customer quality issues from containment through to closure• Manage customer complaints, RCA and corrective actions• Act as escalation point for critical quality concerns• Support and lead customer audits• Ensure compliance with IATF and customer requirements• Identify quality risks and drive preventive actions• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and commercial teamsWhy Join?A strong opportunity to take ownership of a key customer quality function within an automotive manufacturing environment. xhyhwjd 10-15% travel may be required.
