Junior Network EngineerThe Junior Network Engineer is responsible for supporting network infrastructure with a primary focus on IPsec VPN lifecycle management between the organization's private cloud and customer environments. This role also assists in the deployment and management of network and security infrastructure across remote office locations.The position provides hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies and offers growth into data center networking, firewall administration, VPN operations, wireless support, and production network troubleshooting.The Junior Network Engineer works under the guidance of the Senior Network Engineer and Production IT Technical Lead while supporting day-to-day network operations, documentation, troubleshooting, and customer connectivity tasks.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBuild, configure, maintain, and decommission IPsec VPN tunnels between private cloud infrastructure and customer networks.Monitor VPN performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure high availability.Maintain documentation for VPN configurations, standards, and procedures.Coordinate with internal teams and external customers to implement secure connectivity solutions.Participate in an on-call rotation to support network operations and respond to outages or critical incidents as needed.Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of hardware firewalls at remote office locations.Support firewall rule creation, updates, and troubleshooting under guidance of senior staff.Assist with the deployment and configuration of WiFi networks in remote offices.Provide remote management and support for network infrastructure at branch locations.Participate in troubleshooting network performance issues including bandwidth and connectivity.Assist the Senior Network Engineer with network-related projects.Gain exposure to data center networking technologies including switching, routing, and segmentation.Support network testing, documentation, and implementation of new network solutions.Assist with packet capture collection, basic analysis, and troubleshooting documentation.Escalate urgent or complex issues to the Senior Network Engineer, Production IT Technical Lead, or Director of Production IT as appropriate.PLEASE NOTE: This is not an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and requirements of the position described above. Other functions may be assigned and management retains the right to add or change duties at any time.Minimum Qualifications, Education and ExperienceAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, or related field, or equivalent experience.Entry-level certifications such as Network+ or similar are preferred.Exposure to firewall technologies such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, or similar technologies.Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, routing protocols, and switching.Basic knowledge of wireless networking concepts.Familiarity with IPsec VPN tunnels.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Ability to follow documentation and standard operating procedures.Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams, vendors, and customers.Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and support network incidents as needed.Quality StandardsCommunicates, cooperates, and consistently functions professionally and harmoniously with all levels of supervision, co-workers, visitors, and vendors.Demonstrates initiative, personal awareness, professionalism and integrity, and exercises confidentiality in all areas of performance.Follows all local, regional and country laws concerning employment.Follows all DeepHealth policies and procedures.Follows data privacy, compliance, safety and confidentiality standards at all times.Practices universal safety precautions.Promotes good public relations on the phone and in person.Adapts and is willing to learn new tasks, methods, and systems.Reports to work regularly as scheduled; consistently punctual with respect to working hours, meal and rest breaks, and maintains satisfactory personal attendance in accordance with DeepHealth guidelines.Completes job responsibilities in a quality and timely manner.TravelThis position may require domestic / international travel up to 25%.The position requires the ability drive a vehicle, and utilize other forms of transportation.Working EnvironmentThe position is primarily remote, with an onsite response requirement for the Greenville, South Carolina data center. The employee must be able to report to the Greenville data center within one hour when required for production support, incident response, maintenance activities, hardware support, or other business needs. Additional travel to offices, conferences, workshops, customer locations, or other business locations may be required. This position may require domestic / international travel up to 25%.Physical DemandsThis position often requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching with hands and arms, using hands and fingers, handling, or feeling, speaking, listening, and high-level cognitive thinking. Also, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. The position requires the ability to travel as needed, drive a vehicle, and utilize other forms of transportation.I have read and understand the responsibilities and requirements of the positionSalary range of $60,000 to $65,000 dependent upon experience.
