Travel Medical ICU Registered Nurse - $1,992 per week

Overview American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Responsibilities Provide care in a Medical ICU (MICU) unit within a Level I Trauma, Teaching hospital Perform patient monitoring and charting (Cerner) and manage telemetry, ventilators, arterial lines, central venous access, pulmonary artery catheters, and other specialty equipment Care for admitted patients with a patient ratio of 1:2 Work night shifts (3x12-hour shifts) with on-site duties including potential floating to other ICUs or related units as needed Adhere to unit policies, maintain safety standards, and participate in on-call and shift handoffs as required Qualifications Active NM or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted) Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience required Telemetry and ventilator experience required 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with a completed exemption form signed by a provider Details Specialty: MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico Assignment includes potential 3x12-hour night shifts; 19:00–07:30 schedule; weekend requirements vary based on unit needs Additional Information Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position First-time travelers are welcome to apply RTO requests exceeding 7 days require approval; all time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application Minimum contract length is 10 weeks Travelers who have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached the one-year mark at this facility are required to take a 6-month break before returning Free parking on-site #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
