Engineering Manager: lead a team building next‑generation agentic workflows for financial professionals. This role sits at the intersection of AI, product discovery, and scalable platform engineering, and will play a critical role in moving Grata into a new frontier of business development tools. Grata is a hybrid company, with in‑office collaboration in NYC on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. What You’ll Do Own the outcomes of your team's efforts by ensuring successful product deliveries, including incremental value creation, maintaining system performance, and sharing in commercial wins. Coach engineers on growth plans and promotions using established engineering pathways. Establish and evolve healthy team practices, including planning, execution, quality, and operational excellence. Represent Engineering in cross‑functional ceremonies and planning with Product, Data, AI, and Design partners. Balance near‑term delivery with long‑term technical health, identifying and managing technical debt. Translate product and technical vision into clear execution plans and measurable outcomes. Foster a culture of high ownership, psychological safety, and sustainable pace. What You’ll Be Working On Building the next level of Grata’s M&A business development platform , powered by agentic workflows . Designing and scaling AI‑driven systems that help customers discover opportunities, automate workflows, and act faster. Partnering closely with Product Managers to identify customer pain points and uncover efficiency gains through agents. Developing platform capabilities that position Grata at the forefront of AI‑enabled dealmaking tools. Technical Requirements (Must Have) Experience leading engineering teams that build agentic or autonomous workflows. Strong comfort with Python and React in a full‑stack environment. Experience designing and operating queue‑based, event‑driven, or asynchronous systems. Proficient on AI driven coding and scalable, modular applications with a strong grasp of architectural patterns, reliability, and engineering trade‑offs. Technical Experience (Nice to Have) Familiarity with ETL and data processing systems, such as Databricks or Spark‑based pipelines, Kafka, Pulsar, or similar event streaming platforms, Airflow, dbt, or workflow orchestration tools. Experience working with AI/ML‑adjacent systems or data‑heavy platforms. Exposure to cloud‑native architectures and scalable backend services. The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position based on a good faith assessment of the role and market data at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position. This position may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or overtime if applicable.
