Truck Driver CDL A OTR

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Albany, NY. The role offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. Pay Weekly pay $1700 or more per week. Solo Miles Pay: $0.59 per mile with 2000-2500 miles per week. Van Stops Pay: $16.37 per stop plus $107.56 per dry van unload. Rolling stop pay $28.20. Safety Bonus: $250 four times a year. Loyalty Bonus: $2000 at 6 months and $2000 at 1 year. Paid training. Job Details Home at least every other weekend. Must be able and willing to drive into Canada. Deliver SOLOTo: From North Dakota to Texas and all states east as well as Canada. Tractor Type: Sleepers with APUs. Trailer Type: Dry Van and Conestoga experience preferred. Companion Policy: Bring a person and/or pet on the road with you. Load Securement: Strapping. Freight: Touch-hand unloading required. Freight Type: Commercial and residential garage doors. Endorsements: Passport within 90 days of hire. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision after 30 days. 80 hours paid time off first year, starting Day 1. Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech, and more. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines. Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs. Load and unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum age 21 years. Pass a Ryder drug test. Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years. Pass a DOT physical. Pass a Ryder road test. Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position. Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, or 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
