Principal Software EngineerVerint's Principal Software Engineer designs and develops key cloud-first, full-stack software products. This includes employing ReactJS, Java, SQL/NoSQL databases; introducing innovative technologies for cloud service integration and new UI and back-end features; identifying and implementing performance improvements; and providing subject matter expertise for customer implementation and cloud platform support. This role works with Product Management, Development, Operations and Client Services teams to develop creative solutions satisfying technical and business requirements. Additionally, the role provides recommendations to management as to process, technologies, or other improvements intended to benefit productivity, efficiency and/or quality of the solutions developed by the team.Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:Provide technical leadership by influencing the design and architecture of major software components, systems, automation testing, and featuresHelp foster the culture of creativity and excellence through technical innovations and thought leadershipMentor and train other engineers on design techniques, test automation methodologies and coding standardsLead and promote best practices in automated testing and continuous integrationImprove architecture and code base to be scalable to support growthDetail oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent organization, time management, and project leadership skillsAdheres to strict deliverable deadlines while able to multi-taskResponsible for architecting applications for the cloudMinimum Requirements:8+ years of experience in design and architect of large-scale applicationsAdvanced or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related fieldExperience developing quality into the entire systemProven track record of delivering complex projects on time and providing technical leadership on cutting-edge software development projectsHands-on experience, across full technology stack, in developing and architecting web applications that are scalable for large enterprise customersExcellent coding skills in C# (preferred) or Java requiredExperience with JavaScript UI library such as React, Angular or Vue is preferredFamiliar with enterprise application security best practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verificationPreferred Requirements:Exposure to automation, exploratory, and modern testing techniquesProvides technical and professional leadership to other developers.Verint Systems Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a workplace free from discrimination, retaliation, and sexual and any other form of harassment.
