Company Overview The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with 1199SEIU Funds to find qualified candidates for Support Staff in Staten Island, NY. The 1199SEIU Funds are among the strongest and largest labor-management funds in the nation, providing a range of comprehensive benefits to 400,000 working and retired healthcare industry workers who are members of 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East and their families. Through the Benefit and Pension, Training and Employment, and Child Care Funds, members receive health benefits, retirement benefits, training opportunities, educational support, job security resources, and child care benefits at little or no cost. - Meet all eligibility requirements before being scheduled for an orientation.
- Previous experience in field/position of interest is required.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must have an updated resume, with recent work experience.
- Two recent professional references with full mailing addresses and telephone numbers (references will be verified).
- Proof of employment eligibility.
- Must not have previously interviewed with 1199SEIU.
- Must not have previously attended a 1199SEIU orientation.
- Candidates will be cross-referenced with the 1199SEIU database prior to orientation.
