Position Details Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Travel Contract Location: Tulsa, OK Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP Shift: Days Schedule: Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday Shift Options: 5 × 8-Hour Shifts or 4 × 10-Hour Shifts Hours: 40 Hours per Week Additional Details Will accommodate 5 × 8-hour or 4 × 10-hour shifts. Outpatient setting with 2 technologists per shift. Approximately 6 scans per day. Job Summary The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Internal Traveler) uses multidisciplinary skills to perform a variety of procedures using sealed and unsealed radionuclides and radiation-detecting equipment in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Job Responsibilities Perform technical examinations accurately and in a timely manner. Operate equipment, transfer patients to examination tables, position patients correctly, and maintain a safe environment during procedures. Perform and document quality control on all equipment to ensure calibration, regulatory compliance, and operation within established specifications. Prepare, administer, dispose of, and document radiopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, oral contrast, and IV contrast under the direction of an authorized physician and departmental protocols. Maintain accurate records of shipping, receiving, usage, storage, and disposal of radioisotopes in accordance with NRC, DEQ, and SFHS policies. Document room surveys, wipe tests, and bioassays, and assist with quality improvement programs. Schedule examinations, verify written physician orders, and submit documentation to medical records. Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment. Restock supplies and linens as needed. Cross-train in other departmental technologies as required. Exercise independent judgment in planning procedures and making technical decisions. Coordinate and lead activities of other team members without direct supervisory responsibilities. Work directly with patients and customers. Communicate with internal and external customers by telephone and face-to-face interactions. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and staff. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 5 Years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist Experience At Least 1 Year of Previous Travel Experience PET Experience Siemens Equipment Experience Epic EMR Experience Excellent time management, multitasking, organizational, and prioritization skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
