Job Summary The Assistant Equipment Logistics Coordinator supports the efficient flow of tools, supplies, equipment, and materials within the Burns & McDonnell warehouse. This position is responsible for ordering, tracking, and managing the movement of goods between the warehouse, job sites, and vendors. A key focus is maintaining accurate inventory levels for safety supplies and consumables. Job Description Maintains accurate inventory levels of safety supplies, consumables, and other frequently used items. Performs regular stock checks, identifying low-stock items, and initiating re-ordering processes. Orders tools and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to company purchasing policies. Schedules and coordinates trucking/freight services for transporting tools, vehicles, equipment, and trailers to and from job sites and the warehouse. Obtains quotes, selects carriers, and tracks shipments. Maintains a detailed order log, tracking the status of all orders and proactively following up on delays or discrepancies. Creates and processes accurate pick tickets for warehouse personnel, ensuring that the correct items are picked and shipped. Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all inventories, orders, shipments, and related logistics information. Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring the safe handling and transportation of all materials. Assists with other logistics tasks such as assisting with inventory audits and coordinating returns. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Skills Required 1 year experience in a logistics, warehousing, or supply chain environment required. Inventory management. Stock monitoring and replenishment. Order processing and tracking. Logistics coordination. Freight and transportation coordination. Carrier selection and shipment tracking. Recordkeeping and documentation management. Pick ticket creation and processing. Inventory auditing support. Return coordination. Knowledge of company purchasing policies. Ability to follow company safety policies and procedures.
