Sr. Quality Technician

The Sr. Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that incoming materials, components, and purchased parts meet established engineering drawings, specifications and quality requirements before being released for production. Senior Quality Technician also provides technical support for root cause investigations by collecting, organizing, and analyzing quality and process data. The Sr. Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that incoming materials, components, and purchased parts meet established engineering drawings, specifications and quality requirements before being released for production. Senior Quality Technician also provides technical support for root cause investigations by collecting, organizing, and analyzing quality and process data. Responsibilities Performs inspections of raw materials using special tooling and Vision Inspection Systems Performs statistical analysis of data (correlation, ANOVA, pareto charts, etc.) as required. Collects and analyzes inspection, defects and process data to identify trends and recurring problems. Generates Defective Material Reports (DMR) for non-conforming materials. Responsible for controlling inventory within MRB. Performs Gauge R&R studies, DOEs, and assist in process validations. Provides data and technical information to support root cause analysis (RCA) Ensure control plans and associated documentation are maintained. Monitors and reports on quality related issues, scrap, rework levels, and parts per million (PPM) Supports supplier quality issues and corrective-action activities. Undertakes special assignments as required. Contributes and participates in continuous improvement activities. Provides technical guidance and support to other Quality Technicians as needed. Position requires an individual who is enthusiastic, hardworking and team player. Qualifications Associate or Technical degree Proficiency with excel and quality data reporting tools. Strong knowledge of blueprint/drawing interpretation, measurement techniques, and inspection methods. Strong knowledge of data analysis, problem solving and root cause analysis. Experience using metrology measuring equipment and Vision Systems (Micro-View, Scanners, etc.) GD&T experience, able to read and understand drawings. Statistical background (i.e. capability studies, Gage R&R) Able to write appropriate Work Instructions and procedures. Ability to perform statistical analysis (ANOVA, Correlation test, etc.) Computer literate in Microsoft Office tools Excellent written and oral communication skills (English), high integrity, results driven. Desired Qualifications BS Engineering degree Experience with "Infinity" SPC system.
