Scientist, Discovery Immunology

Discovery immunology scientist needed to establish experimental proof of concept for novel biological pathways in autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases. Role involves translating insights from human datasets and computational analyses into hands-on bench studies, developing disease-relevant models, and generating rigorous validation data for emerging therapeutic opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Establish experimental proof of concept for novel biological pathways in immunology using proprietary datasets and literature
• Develop and optimize disease-relevant in vitro, co-culture, and ex vivo models for human disease biology
• Design, execute, and interpret experiments testing key mechanistic hypotheses with rigorous data generation
• Communicate experimental findings and recommendations to multidisciplinary teams to support therapy progression
• Apply cell-engineering methods including lentiviral transduction, siRNA, and CRISPR-based perturbation as needed

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related discipline with academic or industry research experience
• Strong foundation in myeloid, stromal, and mucosal biology and chronic inflammation mechanisms
• Ability to integrate literature, multidimensional data, and experimental findings to test mechanistic hypotheses independently
• Familiarity with single-cell, bulk omics, and spatial transcriptomic datasets and experimental design applications
• Proven track record in scientific communication and effective multidisciplinary collaboration
• Expertise in human cell culture, isolation, and functional characterization of immune and tissue-derived cells
• Proficiency in multiparameter flow cytometry, imaging assays, ELISA, qPCR, and transcriptomic analysis
