About the Position

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – PRN, Acute Rehabilitation Unit (Nonexempt).

Facility: Canyon Vista Medical Center.

Responsibilities

Provide therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to support patients across acute hospital, acute rehabilitation, inpatient, medical‑surgical, and outpatient settings. Assist in restoring function, improving mobility, and promoting independence by implementing treatment plans, guiding mobility and exercise activities, monitoring patient response, and maintaining accurate documentation. Keep the treatment environment safe, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, communicate progress to supervising PT, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current PTA license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
