Material Handler III

Job Title

Pay Range: $19.04hr - $24.04hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• HS Graduate or equivalent.
• 2 - 4 years working in Material-related functions.
• Attention to detail and an appreciation of the effort needed to undo a lack of attention to detail.
• Organization master with the ability to keep track of high volumes of paperwork and inventory.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to complete tasks on time or proactively present potential delays to management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with moving parts and shifting priorities.
• Willingness to be reliable and accountable.
• Proactive approach to task completion.

Responsibilities:

• Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
• Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
• Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
• Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.
• Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
• Prepares kitting packages for assembly production.
• Works in a shipping/receiving environment.
• Packs and unpacks systems, accessories, parts and components.
• Handles delicate and sensitive parts and materials with care.
• Interacts daily with ERP, email and project management systems.
• Maintains records of material movement.
• Follows detailed packaging procedures for routine equipment combinations.
• Exercises judgment in safe packaging of less common equipment combinations.
• Communicates with others from different groups in coordinating the outbound flow of material.
• Performs cycle counts of inventory, including specializing in packing material used in primary work duties.
• Submits timely replenishment requests for packing materials.
• Assists in preparing kits for internal or external assembly operations.
