Job SummaryThe physician assistant manages all aspects of the patients care as pertains to comprehensive assessment, diagnosing, and treating medical conditions, with appropriate input from supervising physician, as necessary. It is important that a friendly, caring, courteous, and professional attitude is always displayed as this person has front-line contact with patients and families.Duties and responsibilitiesObtain patient health history and perform physical examination for consultation visits and follow up visitsAssess patient needs and establish with supervising physician the plan for care. Order appropriate imaging and laboratory tests as indicatedReview results and consult with supervising physician as appropriate and delegated by the supervising physicianPrescribe and dispense medication in accordance with state and federal regulations.
