This travel Occupational Therapy Assistant job in Liberal, KS with Advantis Medical is a 13-week travel Occupational Therapy Assistant contract at NSS Reliant - Wheatridge Park Care Center. This role pays $1,580 per week and follows a Evenings shift with a 5x8 schedule.

In this travel Occupational Therapy Assistant job, you will support patient care through specialty-specific clinical services, perform assessments and treatments within your scope of practice, document patient progress, operate relevant medical equipment, and collaborate with physicians and the broader care team to help deliver quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions under the direction of a supervising Occupational Therapist, following each patient's established plan of care
• Guide patients through activities of daily living, fine-motor tasks, and functional skills training
• Train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and compensatory techniques within the established plan
• Monitor patient response during treatment and report progress and concerns to the supervising therapist

Wheatridge Park Care Center — Liberal, KS

Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal combines skilled nursing and extended care with a Rehab to home program. Short-stay rehabilitation supports people recovering from illness or injury after an acute hospital stay.

• Physical therapy can focus on walking, mobility, muscle control and balance, with fall prevention and pain reduction included in individualized rehabilitation plans.
• Short-term rehabilitation also addresses bathing, dressing, eating, meal planning and household management, as well as recovery and prevention related to orthopedic injuries.
• Speech therapy includes swallowing evaluations and retraining, along with language and communication work for people who need those forms of rehabilitation.
• Skilled nursing services include intravenous therapy, wound care and medication management. The interdisciplinary care team considers individual goals during short or extended stays.
