Quality Engineer (Microelectronics) - Early Career

Quality Engineers at LMMFC act as an integrated member of the design and production teams, developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products. Responsibilities Review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer. Analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex. Attend and lead program corrective action meetings, identify trends, assist in problem resolution and ensure responsible parties meet commitments. Participate as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards, including disposition of non‑conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, root‑cause determination and implementing corrective action to prevent recurrence. Perform assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO 9001 & AS9100 standards. Interface with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues. Utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement. Make the final decision on product acceptability. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related discipline from an accredited college. U.S. Citizen required; position requires a government security clearance. Desired Skills 1 year of professional experience in a manufacturing environment. Discrete and/or micro‑electronics experience. Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action development. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma application. Familiarity with J-STD-001/IPC‑A-610 and ASQ CQE certification. Location Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Shift First shift; 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Security Clearance Secret level required; U.S. citizenship mandatory.
