Unit Manager (RN or LPN) JOIN OUR EXCEPTIONAL NURSING LEADERSHIP TEAM! CarrollPark Healthcare is a skilled nursing facility on the rise, and we are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our dynamic nursing leadership team. The Unit Manager supports the Director of Nursing in the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while promoting positive clinical outcomes, resident and family satisfaction, and employee engagement. The Unit Manager serves as a clinical operational liaison between the nursing units and the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Medical Director, providers, and interdisciplinary team members. The Unit Manager is responsible for leading the clinical operations of the nursing units, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with facility policies and procedures, professional standards of practice, and all applicable state and federal regulations. This position is primarily Monday through Friday, with participation in a rotating on-call schedule. Currently offering a $3,000–$5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified full-time applicants. Duties: Observe, assess, and monitor residents’ health status and nursing care needs to ensure the delivery of quality resident-centered care Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and update individualized care plans Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, reports, and medical records, including effective utilization of PCC according to facility standards and best practices Supervise, support, and assist in the training and development of LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff Perform clinical procedures as needed, including medication administration, treatments, injections, and emergency nursing interventions Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment in accordance with infection control and safety standards Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain appropriate staffing coverage and support staffing operations Effectively utilize staffing resources to minimize overtime and agency usage while maintaining quality care standards Monitor nursing staff performance and ensure timely, efficient delivery of resident care services Promote a professional, respectful, team-oriented environment responsive to the needs of residents, families, and staff Monitor nursing care practices to reduce avoidable hospitalizations and promote positive resident outcomes Encourage effective shift-to-shift communication and continuity of care between nursing staff Review prospective admissions in collaboration with facility leadership to ensure clinical appropriateness and facility readiness Ensure attending physicians and responsible parties are promptly notified of significant changes in resident condition Investigate resident and family concerns or complaints and take appropriate action toward timely resolution Ensure compliance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and standards of nursing practice Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities as assigned Requirements: Current state nursing licensure Current BLS/CPR certification In-depth knowledge of nursing care practices, clinical standards, and health and safety regulations Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills Compassionate, professional, and resident-centered approach to care Experience supervising nursing staff in a skilled nursing facility Ability to effectively manage clinical operations, staffing, and regulatory compliance Preferred Skills: Our ideal candidate is highly organized, demonstrates strong leadership skills, and is committed to maintaining exceptional standards of resident care and regulatory compliance. Prior Long-Term Care experience is required. Strong communication, clinical oversight, and team management skills are preferred.
