Job Title: Neuro ICU Travel Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night rotation, every other weekend Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required License: Must have valid state license in hand at time of submission Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA Certifications only) required Must-Have: - IV Start - Telemetry - Ventilators - Intracranial Pressure Monitoring Description: The Neuro ICU Travel Nurse will work in a high-acuity environment. Shifts will be a rotation of day and night, totaling 36 hours per week. The nurse will care for patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, seizures, and neuromuscular diseases. Procedures may include tracheostomy, PEG, and central line placement. Candidates must float within similar units as necessary. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:1-2. Experience in managing ventilated patients and performing ICP monitoring is essential. All candidates must complete fingerprinting as part of the compliance process. Two professional references are required, including one from a leadership position. Travel experience is preferred. COVID-19 vaccination is not required, but a flu vaccine is required with medical exemptions only.
