We're looking for a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Assistant Cook to join our expanding kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef with daily food preparation and cooking.
• Prepare ingredients and execute recipes according to established standards.
• Ensure consistent food quality, flavor, and presentation.
• Accurately weigh and portion meals according to nutritional specifications.
• Support efficient meal assembly, packaging, and production.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet production deadlines.
• Assist with inventory organization and ingredient preparation.

Qualifications

• Previous professional kitchen or culinary experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and precise measurements.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks.
• Texas Food Handler Certification required within the applicable timeframe.

As we continue expanding our operations, we're seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our culinary team and help maintain the consistency, quality, and efficiency that define Himma.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute Himma's menu according to standardized recipes and quality expectations.
• Maintain consistency in taste, texture, presentation, and portion sizes.
• Coordinate food preparation and cooking to meet production deadlines.
• Oversee kitchen workflow and delegate tasks when assigned.
• Ensure accurate ingredient measurements and nutritional portioning.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization.
• Assist with inventory management, ingredient preparation, and minimizing food waste.
• Collaborate with kitchen leadership to improve production efficiency.
• Train and support assistant cooks and kitchen team members as needed.
• Maintain consistent quality during high-volume meal production.

Qualifications

• Previous professional culinary experience required.
• Experience working in high-volume kitchens, catering, or meal-prep operations strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety.
• Ability to independently execute standardized recipes.
• Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Comfortable leading and coordinating kitchen production when needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Texas Certified Food Manager credential preferred; required where applicable to assigned responsibilities.
