Data Strategy Lead - Hybrid

AbbVie seeks a Data Strategy Lead to serve as the study start-up expert for clinical trials, owning data-related deliverables from protocol development through system implementation. The role coordinates cross-functional teams to embed data strategies and standards into clinical plans while managing timelines, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own all data-related study start-up deliverables from protocol development through system go-live
• Lead data management activities end-to-end, tracking progress and resolving issues affecting timelines or quality
• Ensure consistency in data strategy, standards, and surveillance approaches across studies
• Drive implementation of critical-to-quality factors and data criticality assessments into downstream systems
• Coach and mentor team members while leading process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, MIS, computer science, life sciences, or equivalent; Master's preferred
• 6+ years of pharma, clinical research, data management, or healthcare experience
• In-depth understanding of clinical trial processes and technology
• Demonstrated ability to lead functionally and influence without direct authority
• Proven coaching and mentoring experience in matrix environments
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• PMP Certification or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt desired
