Practice Manager
South Florida ENT Associates
Practice Manager
The main focus of this role will be ancillary growth, including allergy and audiology. The Practice Manager will lead the development and expansion of ancillary service lines while overseeing the daily clinical and business operations of the practice.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Ancillary Growth (Primary Focus)
- Ancillary Service Line Growth: Serve as the primary driver of ancillary services growth, with a focus on allergy and audiology, developing and executing strategies to expand service volume, revenue, and patient access.
- Program Development: Partner with physicians, audiologists, and clinical staff to build, staff, and scale allergy and audiology programs across the care center.
- Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor key metrics for ancillary service lines — including referral capture, utilization, and profitability — and adjust strategies to meet growth targets.
Strategic Leadership & Culture
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of clinical and administrative staff.
- Culture Champion: Cultivate a workplace of mutual respect, engagement, and high morale; facilitate monthly staff meetings that drive alignment and engagement.
- Operational Agility: Oversee daily workflows and staffing schedules to ensure seamless clinic coverage and patient flow.
Financial & Operational Excellence
- P&L Management: Take full ownership of key financial indicators, including P&L oversight, accounts receivable, and CPT frequency analysis.
- Business Intelligence: Translate monthly financial and management reports into actionable strategies to improve practice profitability.
- Strategic Scheduling: Analyze and optimize physician schedules to maximize patient access and provider productivity.
- Partner effectively with management services organization (MSO) to implement/roll out corporate growth initiatives — including ancillary service expansion — aimed at improving quality and enhancing financial performance of the care centers.
- Drive standardization to implement consistent workflows, policies, and standard operating procedures across clinical sites.
Compliance & Patient Advocacy
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the practice remains a "center of excellence" by upholding rigorous regulatory compliance and HIPAA-mandated patient confidentiality.
- Corporate Liaison: Represent the practice at monthly and quarterly regional meetings and maintain a collaborative partnership with the MSO.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- Academic Background: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or Management required; Master's Degree (MHA/MBA) highly preferred.
- Proven Track Record: 7–10 years of progressive management experience within a high-volume healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a private practice setting. Advanced proficiency with EMR systems and data-driven performance metrics, including business intelligence software. Experience leading successful teams in a data rich environment.
- Ancillary Services Experience: Experience growing ancillary service lines — ideally allergy and/or audiology — is strongly preferred.
Core Competencies
- Financial Acumen: Ability to interpret complex financial statements and manage budgets.
- Poise Under Pressure: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to navigate high-volume clinical demands while remaining professional and calm.
- Effective Communicator: Strong interpersonal skills to navigate sensitive staff and physician relationships.
- Excellent communicator
- Experienced manager of both frontline employees and functional supervisors
