Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior Data Governance Lead on behalf of our client in Remote, U.S. This role is responsible for leading enterprise data governance initiatives, establishing data management frameworks, and ensuring data quality, integrity, compliance, and accountability across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in data governance, stakeholder management, data stewardship, and governance program leadership to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.

• Establish and maintain data quality, metadata management, data integrity, and data stewardship practices.

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define governance processes, roles, and accountability.

• Monitor compliance with data governance policies, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.

• Identify governance risks, perform gap assessments, and recommend process improvements.

• Lead governance initiatives that promote data ownership, accountability, and business alignment.

• Conduct governance reviews, audits, and assessments to drive continuous improvement.

• Provide strategic guidance on data governance trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

• Support data management activities including data models, schemas, data dictionaries, and database governance processes.

• Mentor team members and foster a culture of data excellence across the organization.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Strategy, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models.

• Expertise in data quality, data integrity, metadata management, and data stewardship.

• Experience with data warehousing, data engineering, and data visualization concepts.

• Ability to assess governance risks, identify operational gaps, and implement effective solutions.

• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and enterprise data management standards.

• Experience conducting data governance audits and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strong knowledge of database design, data models, schemas, and data dictionaries.

• Proven ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.

• Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise data governance and metadata management tools.

• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.

• Experience leading enterprise-scale governance programs and cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with industry best practices for data management, compliance, and governance.
