Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in med/surg nursing and telemetry monitoring to provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12-hour schedule from 18:45 to 07:15.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry readings, assessing for dysrhythmias and other complications.
• Manage care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including renal failure, COPD, and postoperative recovery.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed, including IV management, blood product administration, and wound care.
• Provide comprehensive care during pre/post hemodialysis and thoracic surgeries.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in rapid response and code team interventions as necessary.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical telemetry nursing role.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications; ACLS certification preferred.
• Ability to float to different units as necessary.
• Experience with electronic documentation systems, preferably Epic.
• First-time travelers welcome, local candidates accepted.
