Omni Nashville Hotel, 250 5th Ave South, Nashville, Tennessee, United States of America Job Description The Omni Nashville Hotel was specially created to be an authentic expression of Nashville’s vibrant music culture. Across from the Music City Center, the luxury hotel is a one‑of‑a‑kind experience, fully integrated with an expansion of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on four levels. Located on Fifth Avenue between Demonbreun and Korean Veterans Blvd., the hotel’s design is a modern expression of the city’s distinct character, incorporating natural materials, exposed steel and regional limestone. The multi‑story hotel and expanded museum share meeting and entertainment space and bring additional restaurants and retail venues to this dynamic destination in downtown Nashville. To promote the safety and tranquil stay for hotel guests and associates, and ensure the policies and procedures of the hotel are maintained in a safe and secure environment, the role requires a Tennessee Unarmed Security Guard License, Dallas’ Law training and CPR/AED and first aid certification upon hire. Responsibilities Promote the safety of guests, associates, and hotel property at all times. Perform security patrols and monitoring of restaurants, public areas, banquet and meeting space, guest floors, associate entrance, parking areas, office back‑of‑house, and hotel exteriors. Visit all locations requiring special attention as frequently as required. Respond immediately to emergency incidents and security requests. Monitor Closed Circuit Television, alarm systems, and the security of the receiving area. Report in writing on all activities during each shift before leaving the hotel, providing oral reports and emergency notifications as directed by established security procedures. Perform all necessary administrative requirements of the Loss Prevention Department, including writing reports, maintaining files, processing work orders, ordering supplies, scheduling, and posting bulletin board information. Maintain the highest standards of security by being professional in attitude, appearance, and application. Monitor associates entering and leaving the hotel; collect all package passes and inspect parcels transported from the hotel. Monitor the back entrance and receiving dock. Check all personnel entering and provide information and direction upon proper identification of job applicants, salesmen, etc.; notify the department head for permission for non‑staff personnel to enter the premises. Confiscate all unauthorized items and notify the Director of Loss Prevention, Director of Engineering, Human Resources Director, and the appropriate department head. Ensure all phases of the key control program are maintained; investigate and report any discrepancies to the Director of Loss Prevention. Keep security equipment (uniforms, push‑to‑talk radios, cameras, SALTO Card system, etc.) clean and in good working condition. Administer the hotel Lost and Found program. Maintain continual communication with the Director of Loss Prevention. Perform duties as assigned by a supervisor and respond to directions from any Executive Committee member or Manager. Qualifications One year of experience in a similar Loss Prevention role preferred. Valid Tennessee Unarmed Security Guard License upon hire. Completed and passed Dallas’ Law training before hire. Experience in Loss Prevention in an upscale hospitality establishment preferred. CPR and basic first‑aid certification. Good verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and email. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Professional business appearance, attitude, and performance. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and holidays. Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk, or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
