Qualifications

• State License Compact licenses are allowed. License must be in hand at time of application.
• Certifications BLS (AHA). Willing to obtain allowed for BLS (AHA).
• Certifications NIHSS (AHA). Willing to obtain allowed for NIHSS (AHA).
• Specialty Experience 1+ years of experience in Medical-Surgical in last 3 years.
• EMR Epic
• Skills Assessment MES skills assessment with 2.7+ score.
• Additional Confirmations I have never worked as a permanent employee of the health system in the past year..
• Additional Confirmations I confirm that I understand fingerprints are a mandatory requirement for all travelers in NM. I am aware this process takes several weeks and must be started immediately to avoid start date delays.
• Additional Confirmations Proficiency in BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, oxygen administration, and oxygen tanks is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting and maintaining IVs is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with blood product administration, heparin, insulin, and PCA is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), pre/post neurosurgery, and spinal cord injury is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, surgical drains, and total joint replacement is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE is required.
• Travel Contract Local contracts within 50.0 miles not accepted.
• Requested Time Off Up to 3 days of time off can be requested.
