Senior Product Designer, Growth Experiences

You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to design share-worthy experiences, social investing tools, and explore creative mechanisms that inspire first-time investors to start their investing journey.This role reports to the Director of Product Design.This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring you to be on-site in our New York office at leastthree days per week to work with stakeholders andfoster team collaboration.What you'll do: Own UX/UI design for Stash’s growth loops, including in-product referrals, celebratory milestones, shareable achievements, and engagement incentives.Advocate for behavioral design solutions that prioritize customer well-being and encourage healthy financial habits.Use empathy and psychology to build trust and confidence among first-time investors.Design cohesive, elegant end-to-end user experiences that inspire organic growth through community, self-expression, and user success stories.Bring a strong visual point of view to growth experiences—using composition, hierarchy, motion, and brand to tell a clear story of progress and make share-worthy moments feel worth sharing.Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to uncover insights and translate them into intuitive and impactful experiences.Contribute to Stash’s work culture, ethos, and relentless pursuit of incremental and continuous growth.Elevate the craft and quality of product design by contributing to Stash’s systems, design critique culture, and strategic roadmap.Influence product direction in your vertical and contribute to the long-term vision for user-led growth, balancing performance metrics with seamless UX.Enthusiasm for thoughtfully and ethically integrated AI experiences, staying informed on emerging patterns in AI interaction design across tech and finance, and contributing to innovation in this space.What we're looking for: A strategic thinker with a track record of delivering delightful, high-impact consumer experiences—ideally in mobile-first or B2C environments.A visual storyteller with exceptional visual design skills—able to turn complex product ideas into clear, distinctive, and emotionally resonant interfaces that look as considered as they feel.A behavior-aware problem solver who understands what motivates users to act, share, and return.A collaborator who thrives at the intersection of product, engineering, and insights—and knows how to lead through influence.A strong communicator with high emotional intelligence (EQ) who designs thoughtfully and can communicate design thinking effectively.Comfortable balancing ambiguity with thoughtfully scoped iterations—with a focus on designing for the learning outcomes established by the team5+ years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating craft, strategic impact, and measurable results.Skilled at designing within and contributing to existing design systems.Gold StarsExperience building in-product growth features like referrals, gamified milestones, or community-driven tools.A portfolio that showcases visual craft and storytelling, not just flows—shareable artifacts, or branded moment design that drove attention or engagement.Fintech, edtech, or healthtech background, especially in behavioral change and engagement design.Small to mid-size startup or high-growth company experience.Comfort participating in and contributing to research study design and facilitation#LI-HybridOur Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and InclusionWe proudly celebrate the unique qualities that make you you, 365 days a year, and not just because it’s the right thing to do or good for business.
