Video Producer (Level 1 Journalist, Temp-guild)

We’re looking for a Video Producer to join our Reuters Editorial team in Los Angeles in a temporary role. About the Role Produce, edit, write and deliver agency video stories from both office and field. Respond quickly to major breaking news events, in a responsible manner. Have the ability to work long hours, some weekend shifts, often under extreme pressure and unsupervised at times. Have a sharp eye for visual news elements and video storytelling. Have a thorough understanding of video technology and social media. Have excellent communication skills. About You Minimum five years of experience as a professional video producer, with a strong track record covering hard news. Experience with live broadcast and technical knowledge. Experience in broadcast or agency television newsgathering and production. Significant experience working with multimedia and video packaging teams. Willingness to travel to breaking news stories, often at short notice. Strong skills in driving accuracy and speed while upholding Thomson Reuters editorial principles and policies. Understanding needs of broadcast and digital clients, regionally and internationally. Excellent English writing skills. Additional language skills considered an advantage.
