SpringLeaf Healthcare Counseling Center is actively searching for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is centered around providing high-quality, culturally sensitive mental health services to diverse patient populations in a remote outpatient setting located in Germantown, Maryland. Work Environment\nThis position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to provide services from the comfort of your own home while enjoying the support and resources of our outpatient office. You will have access to a comprehensive electronic health record system that makes documentation and patient communication seamless. The standard work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that are tailored to each patient's unique background and experiences, ensuring culturally sensitive approaches in diagnosis and treatment planning. \n
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions during individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address the multifaceted needs of our clients. \n
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care for our patients. \n
- Provide crisis intervention services to support clients experiencing acute mental health distress, helping them navigate through their challenges with immediate support. \n
- Educate patients and their families regarding mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care. \n
- Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and legal standards, ensuring the integrity of patient records and treatment outcomes. \n
- Actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and cultural competency training sessions to foster a collaborative and learning-oriented work environment. \n
- Stay abreast of current research and best practices in the mental health field, integrating learnings into your therapeutic practices and patient interactions. \n

Qualifications\n- \n
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred. \n
- Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LPC, LCSW, or equivalent) in Maryland. \n
- Strong understanding of cultural competency and diversity in mental health service provision. \n
- Proven ability to develop effective therapeutic outcomes through individualized treatment plans. \n
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse client population. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and teletherapy platforms is a plus. \n

- Experience in providing individual, family, and group therapy. \n
