UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies, Loveland Department: MCR Surgical Specialty Unit Shift: Night shifts available This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option. The Surgical Specialty acute care unit is a new 18 bed addition to our legacy hospital at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado. This unit will primary care for non-trauma surgical patients, as well as medical patients who may require inpatient services. All experience RNs will be orientated on the Trauma Surgical unit. This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience. ~ State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). ~6 months of nursing (RN) experience. ~ Provides top of scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care Acute Care: Direct care includes specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units of moderate to high patient acuity AMSN's core curriculum and various specialty certification standards are included in evidence based care models for each unit Clinical Educators support and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
