Cable & Harness AssemblerNesco Resource is looking for a Cable & Harness Assembler located in Danbury, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate. Shift: 7AM-3:30PM Pay: $19/Hour Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Cable & Harness Assembler to perform cable and wire assembly operations according to documented work instructions, customer specifications, and production requirements. This role involves hands-on work with various hand tools and assembly equipment, including wire cutting, stripping, crimping, and termination. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and willing to cross-train in other production areas. Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform cable and wire harness assembly according to work instructions, drawings, and customer specifications.Cut, strip, terminate, crimp, and assemble wires and cables using various hand and semi-automatic tools.Accurately measure wire and cable lengths using rulers, measuring tapes, and calipers.Enter production transactions into computer systems and complete required logs, records, and documentation.Follow established quality, safety, and production procedures.Read and follow build material lists, work instructions, and training documentation.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Work closely with supervisors and team leads to meet production requirements.Be flexible and willing to cross-train in other production and assembly areas.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.2+ years of experience working with wiring, cable assembly, electrical assembly, or hand tools preferred.Experience using hand assembly tools such as wire cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, pliers, tweezers, and knives.Ability to accurately measure in both U.S. Standard and Metric units using rulers, measuring tapes, and calipers.Ability to read and understand work instructions, assembly documentation, drawings, and material lists.Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow precise assembly instructions.Basic computer and data-entry skills.Ability to communicate effectively and read/write in English.Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.Manufacturing or production assembly experience is a plus.IPC/WHMA-A-620 knowledge or experience is a plus.Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
