Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP unit. Ensure patient safety, support procedures, and collaborate with medical teams to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and manage hemodynamic stability throughout procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including PCI, STEMI, stroke interventions, and device implantations.
• Manage post-procedure recovery, ensuring safe observation and documentation.
• Support in equipment setup, sterilization, and maintaining sterile field protocols.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide on-call coverage as scheduled.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with current state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, or similar cardiovascular setting.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Proven ability to support complex cardiac procedures and respond swiftly in emergent situations.
• Strong communication and patient care skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including on-call rotations.
